Youth Explosion is not your average church retreat! With live music, engaging speakers, and even service activities; the Catholic faith is brought to life in an exciting way.
Youth teens will leave with a THIRST FOR CHRIST and a desire to put faith into action. They will return to youth parish with a new spiritual drive!

Robert Feduccia, Jr. was the founding director of the Youth Liturgical Leadership Program at Saint Meinrad School of Theology and was also the general manager for Spirit & Song, the contemporary music division of OCP (Oregon Catholic Press). Robert combines his unique set of experiences as a parish youth minister, retreat leader, and keynote presenter with his graduate degree in theology, and is able to express spiritual depth in way that is relevant to the real concerns people face today. He recently authored a paper on the New Evangelization for the National Federation for Catholic Youth Ministry. His workshops and retreats seek to show that God is faithful and that the Eucharist is deeply connected to our daily life.
John Angotti is a full time music missionary who travels throughout many parts of the world providing inspirational music and faith witness to all ages through concerts, workshops, retreats, missions, conferences, and worship. He is originally from Clarksburg, West Virginia, and now resides in Nashville, Tennessee. He is a graduate of West Virginia University and the U.S. Military School of Music, where he was a member of the U.S. Navy Band as lead vocalist. John received his Master’s Degree in Pastoral Studies from Catholic Theological Union in Chicago in 2013. John’s message is clear: There is hope, healing, and truth with the love of God. His music expresses hope and love for those longing for a deeper relationship with God.

One of the most important Sacraments, especially for teens. Confession will be available for everyone at YX.
Many different diocese and churches come to YX. It’s amazing to meet new friends alive in the faith!
There will be about 20 priests available at the last part of Youth Explosion
to provide the Sacrament of Penance. We hope you will take part in this
healing and loving gift from God.
Last year we had over 600 participants at Youth Explosion. Because the Sacraments are such a focus, we need your help. Every year, we have very long lines of teens wanting to participate in the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Please consider joining us to offer this important sacrament.
